The Fort Ransom Arena Association was started to create a new horse arena where the annual 4th of July rodeos in Fort Ransom could be held.  The new arena is located 1 mile north of Fort Ransom on the Walter Hjelle Parkway.

This horse arena is a wonderful and continually improving facility where many events are held. The Arena Association promotes youth activities including 4-H projects and Horse Shows. Other rodeos are held in addition to Team Penning and Roping events. A Rodeo School is held in the spring each year.

The Arena Association sponsors the Fort Ransom Annual Stampede Rodeo held during the 4th of July celebration. In 2009, two rodeos will be held. The first rodeo starts at 7:00 pm on Friday, July 3rd. The second rodeo will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 4th.  Arrow K is the contractor for these rodeos. Each rodeo will feature saddle, bareback, team roping, bull riding and barrel racing.  Concessions are available on the rodeo grounds.
